Indivdual work¶
I have decided to create a small wooden scooter by using the CNC machine.
Fusion 360¶
The Base¶
First thing I had to do is the base of the scooter where all four wheels and every peice would be attached to it.

The Sides¶

The Front & Back pieces¶

The Handle¶

The Seat¶

Making the joints¶

Note: In the creation of the scooter components, I use the combine function to create the hole for the joints. So in theory, all the components would fit easily together after cutting.
Vcarve¶
Warming up the spindle

Opening the design files in Vcarve

Arranging the pieces

Making dogbone joints for each hole

Cutting and assembly¶

The vacuum¶

Main switch to turn on the machine¶

Emergency switch and start & stop buttons¶

Cutout of the pieces¶

Here what it looked like after assembly:

Issues with assembly¶
I face a major issue which was the length of the pieces were a bit longer than the holes, I double checked the design and everything but could not find the reason for it to happen.
As a result, the pieces needed some filing and to be hit by a hammer just for them to fit, which also resulted in some deterioration in the pieces as shown below.
