6. Large format CNC (computer controlled Machining)

This week we worked on group assignment which is to test runout, alignment, speeds, feeds, and toolpaths for your machine, and in individual project which is to Make design something big and cut it using CNC and assembling it.

Group work

• Testing the CNC machine.
• Check Ayman’s page.

Individual work

• First, I downloaded VCarve from this Website.

• Try to make Kids slide by using Fusion360:

• Insert –> canvas.

• Change the size of the picture.

• Draw a fit point spline.

• Open the file from VCarve program.

• Arranged the pieces with T-bone mode.

• Save to files.

• Start to cut :

• Sanding part: take a sanding paper and start.

• Assembly part:

• Final result.
