Week 8 Molding & Casting¶
Design¶
The design is taken from the internet which is a boxing gloves.
This is the design sketch on fusion 360
The thumb could not be done properly since the milling machine doesnt support this type of design, so the thumb area was compressed more.

Molding¶
Milling Machine¶
The milling machine cut the design below.
Material :RTV2 Silicon Rubber¶
The mix ratio used in the modling process is 1:1
We mix the two components in a cup.
Component A was 12.5 grams
Component B was 12.6 which when added gets you a total of 25.1
We add the mixture into the cut design above, then we wait 24 hours,
The image below is achieved after waiting.
Casting¶
this is the resin we are using for the casting process.
We add the resin into the solid mixture above, then we wait 24 hours.
This is the finale design.
