5. 3D Scanning and Printing¶
5.1 Group Assignment¶

5.2 Individual Assignment - 3D Printing¶
we are required to design a 3D design by Fusion 360, so I edit a design I already done with it since week 2 which was s small dice for board games:
-Then I installed PrusaSlicer software for printing the design
-I send the design to the software then we edit the settings for the specified printer as shown in the picture:
-The day after I got the 3d model like this:
Actually this 3D design can’t be printed by the laser cutter because it has undercuts and overhang which is the number details on each side that cant be done with a 2D cutting process.
3D Scanning¶
For 3D Scanning, we did it as a peer that each one will scan the other
-So firstly, we used SCANECT software with XBOX camera.
-After that, we sat and turn around 360 to scan all the body sides.
-Then, we process the model and fill the holes –> Colorize it.
-Last, save it as .stl file format.
