2. Computer Aided design¶
The aim of this week was to experiment with different digital drawing and modeling softwares and creating 2D and 3D designs. To fulfil the learning outcomes I used the following softwares:
1-cuttle.xyz.
2-SolidWork.
3-fusion 360.
cuttle.xyz¶
What cuttle.xyz?
A web-based design tool for digital cutting machines. Generate custom SVGs in seconds with templates, or use the editor to make your own designs. cuttle.xyz.
the aim design 2D by using cuttle.xyz, let’s start to explain the steps from zero to end
The goal is to create a 2D design using the cuttle.xyz website. We’ll walk through the process from the beginning to the final.
Once you have created an account on the Cuttle.xyz platform, you will be directed to a specific page that serves as the main dashboard or starting point for your design experience.
Click on “New Blank Project”.
After clicking on it, you will be presented with a dedicated design workspace page.
As the image shows, we selected the circle and then dragged it to the center.
On the Right side, options appear that can change the color or measurements. For example, the color has been changed as shown:
A logo has been added from “Browse All Shapes”.
As shown, the color of the logo was changed in the same way as the color of the circle was changed. Now we will add text from the left side.
The font type can be changed as shown:
Before finalizing the 2D design, I added a rotation effect to the name.
The number of rotation can be changed as shown:

SolidWork¶
Open the Solidwork.
I will choose the front sketch.
I created lines segments with interface color change.
After change the front of SolidWork.
I designed the 2D with dimension.
Using the weldment property I will convert to 3D.
fusion 360¶
With some proses to solidwork, Now I will chose front sketch.
Select as shown in the picture to draw on it again.
