About me

Hello!
My name is Ali Aljeshi. I am a mechanical engineering student at Bahrain Polytechnic.

This website should serve as a documentation of my work at Fab Lab Bahrain during the summer of 2024.

This is me in college

My background

I was raised in a Sitra and lived there until I was 11. I am currently living in Maqaba with my family and our cats.

I enjoy exercising, playing video games, and learning new things. I am currently trying to learn about arduino, so hopefully joining FabLab will allow me to gain practical knowledge about Microcontrollers, and Input & Output Devices.

More about me

I’m not a paragraph, I’m a human being. As such, I enjoy breathing Oxygen and drinking water.

Previous Projects

During my time at Bahrain Polytechnic, I was able to work on many projects. I would like to introduce you to some of them:

Electric Club Car

This is an electric two seater club car that we made with the materials we had in the college workshop. The process taught me a lot about working with metals, and how to navigate difficulties regarding the limited materials we had available.

Speed Reduction Gearbox

I worked in a group to design a 3 stage speed reduction gearbox to reduce the speed of a shaft rotating at 1920 rpm with a power of 57kW down to 120 rpm. This project was comprehensive, including details and calculations regarding forces and stresses on the gears and the shafts, along with the selection of suitable materials and bearings.
