3. Computer controlled cutting¶
this week is about learning on the laser cut machine and vinyl cutter where we need to cut a design that is pressfit and paramitric designed when at the end you can assemple the design in many different way
Laser cut machien¶
First I came up with simple design
then using circulir pattern
after that we come to the impotant task and that is parametric design where you can change one value it change the hole design
then I added the connection between the design
then i export the file as DXF to the machien
I did some edit i added some copy of the same design so it can be pess fited
and here you can see that the hole design is in black
With that you can add multible color to the machien where you can adjust every color to do one thing
we make sure that its an OUTPUT so the machine will read that value
at the end we save the file
After that I assemble the design

for this we need to experment with the machien where we going to assign different color to each squer we have in the sheet with each color there is different power and speed with that we can see what is the proper input for this material you can click (HERE) it will take you to our group work
Vinyl Cutter¶
A vinyl cutter is a type of computer-controlled machine tool. The computer controls the movement of a sharp blade over the surface of the material as it would the nozzles of an ink-jet printer. This blade is used to cut out shapes and letters from sheets of thin self-adhesive plastic (vinyl).
First I chose a photo frome the internet and I chose something that I like and it was HxH in Black and White and why is that becouse we dont care about the color of the photo since it will not be printed .
after that I copy paste the pic to Creality Print and here i trace the image so that the mchine can read the tracing then i use blue mat with green material i used the green mat becous i did not need a lot of power to put the green material i saw one of my teammate used the purble one and it was so strong at the end I put the mat on the line and I insert the mat all then I chek the stability of the mat then i start the prosess and it started cuting
