7. Large format CNC (Computer Controlled Machining)¶
This week focused on the basic of using CNC (Computer Controlled Machining) by starting the group assignment from the first day of the week and the rest of the days for completing the individual assignment.
Individual assignment¶
The individual assignment required for each of us to design an object according to our needs. As for me, I decided to design a clothing rack as the design was inspitred from this website.
Creation of the design¶
Steps for creating the clothes rack along with the joints are documented as shown below.
Description of the design¶
The angle and height of the rack are defined, as well as the lengths and radius of each handle. Next, the rack base was adjusted, and some corners of it were filleted. Then, the joints locations were chosen along with its depth. Finally, the dimensions were defined to estimate the actual final size of the rack.
