Project Overview¶
What is our project?¶
The idea of our project is to construct a real CNC drawing machine that drow shapes base on polar coordinate mechanism. Therefore we had to take care of construct the real hardware device that would be use to act as our product. And more important also, we had to take care about the tools that would be use to control the hardware machine and ensure that its working as it should.
Project Prototype¶
At the beginning, research was made regarding the project and we thought about the prototype’s design.
We searched for aplicable conponents to construct our prototype.
We used this design to resemble the X axis movement.
More research was made regarding the motor and how it is powered, also we came to the conclusion that gears were necessary in the design prototype to avoid overloading the motor. (the motor resembles the radial movement).
Finally, We assembled all the parts.

Software used in designing the prototype was gear generator, the gear was cut using the laser cutting machine with the help of the inkscape software to make sure the measurments were on point.
