2. Computer Aided design¶
This week I Ledarned about few designing softwares for 3d and 2d and tried to get fimiliar with by making simple designs thus learning about the main the functions and realising the limitations, the softwares Included Inkscpape, Tinkercad, cuttle and fusion360.
fusion 360¶
Fusion 360 is a proffesional 3d moduling software which allows you to design complicated and precise 3d models with the big library of assests and tools, but it requires a bit of practice to get a hold of it and it does take a toll on your computer.
On fusion 360 i started by by drawing a 2d square with 1 square at the corner and by using the mirror tool i made the small square be at all corners, After that with extrusion tool i extruded it for 2 mm to make a plate with 4 squared holes.
then i made a leg with a notch to fit inside the hole to make a tiny table using the same method of 2d drawing then extruding

Cuttle¶
Cuttle XYZ is an online 2D drawing software that allows users to create and edit vector graphics, it has a user-friendly interface and a range of tools and features, but it may have some limitations when it comes to more complex designs. Its main advantage is the ability to access and edit drawings from any device with an internet connection.
Using just a circle and a pentagon i was able to make a very unique and complex shape with the aid of two tools.

And all i had to do after that was adjust the number of repeats and the size of outline to get this beautiful shape that could make a pretty design on wood
Tinker cad¶
Tinkercad is cad 3d modeling software offers a variety of tools and features to create complex designs, but it may not be suitable for professional use due to its limited capabilities compared to more advanced CAD software. Its main advantage is its intuitive user interface and accessibility, making it a popular choice for kids and hobbyists.
Tinkercad was a very tiring experience due to the lack of accuracy and alligning options and tools, however by using two disks i made a bowl by making the smaller disk as a hole componant then engraved text using the same thing
after that changed the color to black
and made a ciggy (cigarette) using two cylinders and placed it with quite the effort
Inkskcpe¶
Inkscape is a free and open-source vector graphics editor used for graphic design, illustrations, and logo creation. It offers powerful tools and features to create and edit vector graphics, including shapes, text, paths, and filters. While it may have a steeper learning curve than other graphic design software, its extensive support for vector graphics makes it ideal for creating scalable designs for print and web.
In inkscape what I did is I made a logo using basic shapes and layered it to give it depth effect
