3D printing

3D printing, a revolutionary manufacturing process, constructs three-dimensional objects layer by layer. This additive technology empowers us to create intricate, personalized designs using a diverse range of materials, from plastics and metals to even living cells. 3D printing has found applications in numerous fields, including rapid prototyping, manufacturing, medicine, architecture, and beyond. As the technology continues to evolve, with advancements in printing techniques and materials, it is poised to reshape industries and inspire innovation.

Our experience was on two 3D printer devices. (Ultimaker) and (Creality), Two different devices in terms of speed and accuracy, and each has a lot of detail.

Using the Thingiverse website, we downloaded a design ready for printing

Some examples:

We got acquainted with and used the Creamity Print program to put the design in it and send up after checking the size of the design and all that must be confirmed by it and after making sure of the design we look for the printer name in the program and send the file and then choose the file from the printer and from it starting the printing work.

Some of the experiments we printed

After printing, the piece needs to be cleaned from the Tree, which is a holder for the piece during printing so that it does not fall (support).

Make 3D design about my frame. (Furniture)

First, I determined the shape and dimensions of the design

And an Extrude tool to determine thickness, height, etc

fillet to bend the corners

Extrude>Two saide

line>offset>Extrude

During the first edition of the design, some unexpected errors occurred, including the sport, was not good because the details of the design were many and the printer was not ready for such details.

3D Scanner (Kinect)

A 3D scanner is a device that captures the physical shape of an object and converts it into a digital 3D model. This technology uses various techniques, such as laser scanning or structured light, to measure the object’s surface and create a precise digital representation. 3D scanners are used in various fields, including engineering, medicine, archaeology, and gaming, to create accurate digital models for analysis, design, and manufacturing.

Spiral cone fidget

Spiral Cone fidget is a 3D printed puzzle toy. It has a unique conical shape and a complex spiral interior. The toy looks like one connected piece, but in reality it can be easily disassembled into multiple parts. This game is characterized by its ability to calm nerves and relieve stress, and is fun for people of all ages.
