7. week7 (cnc)¶
What is CNC?¶
CNC (Computer Numerical Control) is a system used to control tools and machines via a computer. It is employed to create complex parts with high precision across various industries.
How CNC Works¶
Design: A 3D model is created using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software. Conversion to G-code: The design is converted into G-code, a programming language used to control CNC machines. Machine Control: The CNC machine receives the G-code and starts executing the instructions, such as tool movements and cutting speeds. Operation: The machine performs the specified cuts or operations with high accuracy.
Benefits of Using CNC¶
Precision: Achieves accurate and complex cuts. Productivity: Can produce large quantities quickly and efficiently. Repeatability: Ensures consistent quality in every piece. Flexibility: Allows easy modifications to designs.
Safety of working on a CNC machine¶
Safety tools required to use the CNC machine
First, before starting work, make sure you have the key, otherwise it will not work
Select the required bit, change it, and ensure it is confirmed
Emergency shutdown, when any sudden things happen
Install the piece of wood or any material we will use
The electricity access test by touching the Bit from this tool and when touching the bit there is a redness that shines at the touch, if it does not pass its meanings, there is no connection and then the desired design will not be cut as you want.
Design¶
The design I started by sketching (92.44*64.199)
After completing the design here, the pieces were distributed and prepared for the CNC in the required size for the CNC

The next step is that I faced a problem, which is that when the design was sent to the device (computer) connected to the CNC machine, it did not give me the required sizes, so I could not cut them. After that, I started drawing another design.
Then, with Sarah’s help, I was able to fix the problem and start cutting
