I'm Fatima Idrees, graduated from University of Bahrain (UOB) with a degree in Computer Science, I have a strong background in Mathematics and programming languages like: Python and JAVA, I'm also passionate about art, especially hand-made crafts like Pyssla (pixel hand-made art) and animation art, which let me explore my creative side. Alongside my technical skills, I have a strong interest in design, particularly in decoration. In my free time, I enjoy playing video games, which helps me strike a balance between my technical abilities and personal interests. |

Previous Work¶
During my industrial training at the Ministry of Works, I gained hands-on experience in IT support and administration, working on both hardware and software tasks. Key responsibilities included hardware maintenance, coding with Macros and PowerShell, Windows installations, user support, and managing Active Directory. I also created an MS PowerPoint presentation on a new Microsoft app, MS Designer, highlighting its features and potential applications. My projects focused on enhancing electronic reporting by transitioning from .docx to .pdf files, which improved document accessibility but presented challenges with antivirus compatibility and file locking. I further evaluated document management applications to streamline PDF handling, balancing features like compression and locking within budget constraints. This training improved my technical skills, research abilities, and communication.
Previous Training¶
I had a training course in Microsoft Power BI with Think Smart, where I learned to analyze and visualize data, create interactive dashboards, and share insights. The course gave me hands-on experience with Power BI’s features, like real-time data monitoring and AI-driven analytics. Additionally, I had the chance to meet a wonderful group of friends, which made the learning experience even more enjoyable and collaborative.
My Senior Project¶
“Pattern Collective” is an app my friends and I developed to streamline the shopping experience for users interested in home decor. The app consolidates multiple stores into a single platform, making it easier for users, especially those without design experience, to explore and find what they need. It provides complete room collections in various styles and colors, allowing users to buy an entire collection or customize items within it by adding, removing, or replacing pieces to suit their preferences.
