2. Computer Aided design

Revit

In the second week, we worked on 3D/2D Softwares.

I worked in Revit and our assignment was to draw any 3D shape and what I choose to draw was a table.

After drawing the table I then clicked on

  • Export

  • CAD Formats

  • STL

Then I went to Sketcfab website and uploaded the STL file.

I was able to modify on my object like changing the color of the object itself and its background, shadow lighting, perspective, etc. I then saved the settings and published my work.

I clicked on Embeded and copied the link and pasted the link in Visual Studios Code and clicked on Commit&Push

Cuttle Software

We also worked in cuttle and understood how it works and how can we use it. We also got familiar on how to get use of all the shapes that are in the software.

We were asked to do a keychain so we first started by doing a circle with a small circle on top to represent the keychain hole. We also insetred a text in the keychain and colored it.

Then, we connected the small circles to the keychain itself by:

  • Selecting all circles

  • Modify

  • Boolean Union

After we filled the kechain with the choosen color, we brought the text in front by:

  • Clicking on the text

  • Right click

  • Text to Front
