6. Large format CNC (computer controlled Machining)¶
This week, we worked extensively with the CNC machine. This was our biggest project so far, as we were tasked with creating our own designs and selecting useful materials to produce a final product that would be both visually appealing and functional. A key requirement was incorporating joints into our design, which added complexity as we had to ensure proper articulation of the components.
We first conceptualized and sketched out our designs before translating them into physical form, carefully selecting the appropriate materials. Using the CNC machine, we precisely cut and shaped the pieces, meticulously aligning the joints.
