2. Computer Aided Design

This week, I embarked on an exciting journey through the realms of 2D and 3D software to create captivating models using Revit and Sketchfab. I sculpted and shaped a 3D pink Batman, bringing my vision to life with Revit software. Finally, I shared my creations with the world on Sketchfab, joining a vibrant community of artists and enthusiasts. Seeing my completed work gave me a profound sense of pride and fulfillment, knowing I had pushed the boundaries of creativity and technology to create something truly special.

Here are the steps I followed:

  1. Launching Revit: I started by opening Revit software on my computer.

  2. Starting the Project: I created a new project or opened an existing one to begin my work.

  3. Modeling Batman: Using Revit’s modeling tools, I carefully crafted the basic structure of Batman, including the body, cape, and mask.

  4. Saving the Project: Once the model was complete, I saved my Revit project to ensure all my hard work was securely stored.

  5. Uploading to Sketchfab: Finally, I uploaded my design to Sketchfab, where I could share it with a global community and gain feedback from other artists.

By the end of the week, I felt accomplished and proud of my work, having learned and applied new skills to create a unique and engaging 3D model.

Fusion 360

This week in the Fablab, I also created a design using Fusion 360 to create an innovative solution: an animal shelter box for public spaces. With a vision of providing a safe haven for stray animals in bustling urban environments, I set out to design a structure that balanced functionality with aesthetic appeal.

Here are the steps I followed:

  1. Opening Fusion 360: I started by launching Fusion 360 on my computer.

  2. Working on the Form: Using various techniques such as Sketch, Extrude, and Press Pull, I began crafting the basic form of the shelter. I focused on making sure the dimensions were just right for comfort and safety.

  3. Finalizing the Design: Once the main structure was complete, I meticulously added details like ventilation and accessibility features to ensure the shelter would be practical and welcoming for its furry inhabitants.

  4. Saving and Adding Final Touches: I saved my design and added final touches to perfect the overall look and functionality.

By the end of the week, I had a detailed, thoughtfully designed animal shelter box that I was proud of. This project allowed me to harness the power of digital design, creating a meaningful solution for stray animals in our cities.
