This entry documents my plastic disposal process.

After collecting, the next step to get the bottles actually recycled is to drop them at a trusted location.

WHY IS RECYCLING IMPORTANT?

It helps to stop the recyclable plastic waste from being dumped into landfill sites and means the plastic they are made from can be used to make new products.

I disposed my collection of used water bottles at one of the recycling bins by Bahrain Association for Parents and Friends of the Disabled (BAPFD).



The plastic bottles project was started by the association in 2011 in order to reduce the plastic waste by collecting and selling it to a specialized recycling factory and at the same time help the disabled community by using the money from selling to provide customized wheelchairs to those in need.
