Final Project¶
This a documentation of fab academy project
Designing the pot¶
Since the shelf we plan to put the pot on it 120mm width,i designed a Flowerpot with maximum diameter 115mm
STEPS:¶
STEP1:First i created a 2d sketch, a circle with diameter of 55mm and extruded it 11mm and the reason of the extrude value is becasue we planed to cut it on a mdf wood , and mdf has thickness of 11mm
STEP2:I created another sketch above the first one with smaller diameter of 50mm and extruded it down 10mm, and with this i made my base for the Flowerpot
STEP3:the i created also above the first circle another on with diameter of 65mm and extruded it 11mm
STEP4:I kept drawing circles above each other , and each on is 10mm bigger than the one before, until i had seven layer and the maximum diameter is on top is 115mm
STEP5:I had to make a small circle on the bottom to facilitate wiring, so i created 15mm circle and cut it down to make a hole
STEP6:Finally i used the face offset tool to shift the inner faces to one level so it looks better , but i left one face not shifted becasue we wanted to put an acrylic circle on it
STEP7:since we want to use CNC machine to cut it, i exported each sketch as DXF file
Hero Shots of flower pot¶
Design of acrylic layer¶
STEP1: Since the diameter of the circle that we want to put an acrylic layer on is 89 mm , i created circle with 89mm diameter and extruded it 3 mm STEP2: and the i created a small circle and cut it through to let space for the wires to come out of it STEP3:Finally i saved the file as DXF To cut it by laser machien
