What is Qlone?¶

Qlone is an all-in-one 3D scanner app. We have made it easy and fast to create 3D models from real objects, edit them with built-in editing tools and seamlessly export the result to popular platforms, 3D file formats and 3D printers. You can even animate your models in AR!

The App is available for both iOS and Android. After Download I started scanning the object “Batman”.

I started scanning following the pattern until all the shape is well captured

What is 3D printing?¶

3D printing, or additive manufacturing, is the construction of a three-dimensional object from a CAD model or a digital 3D model.

In the lab 2 machines were available PRUSA and Ulitmaker2.

What is the diffrence between PRUSA and Ultimake 2+ ?¶

The Prusa i3 series consists of open-source fused deposition modeling 3D printers, manufactured by Czech company Prusa Research under the trademarked name Original Prusa i3. Part of the RepRap project, Prusa i3 printers were named the most used 3D printer in the world. While Ulitmaker2 is made from premium parts and materials with a heated bed. With it, removing your finished prints becomes a breeze. Both printers allows for ABS printing

To be able to print my design I had to download Ultimaker Download Ultimaker Software ¶

Group assignment¶

Me and my teams members choosed to make pens holder for the desk as our first trial and we set our settings as shown below

Then we made slicing and it took 14 hours to print our designed pen holder. Before saving the design to the emory card we selected the type of printer where we used PRUSA
