About me¶
My background¶
Hi, I am Basel an engineer that has a myriad of diverse interests and hobbies. I have so many in fact you would think I’m crazy and you won’t be far off actually from the truth. Just to give you a flavour of things I am interested in here is a ~~somewhat short~~ list: videogames, programming, cooking, 3d modelling/product design, video editing, space, anime, writing, reading (especially bad science), robotics, psychology. Okay I think that’s enough. I joined FabAcademy to develop my practical skills when it comes to using engineering equipment, something I particularly lack. Now considering my crazy number of interests and hobbies, if you want to work on some project with me that I would find interesting (which I mean it’s hard for me to not find interesting), then hit me up and we can maybe do something cool.
Previous experience¶
I graduated as a mechanical engineer from the University of Birmingham in 2020 (not a nice year) and then worked as a design engineer at BFG International, followed by working as a shutdown engineer in Bapco. Currently I’m doing freelance projects for fun and to learn and grow myself as I will be pursuing my master’s in robotics and intelligent systems starting September 2023.
