2. Computer Aided design¶
This week I worked on exploring 2D and 3D designs software And getting used to the documentation process.
2D Design¶
CUTTLE Website¶
At first I tried exploring the tools by myself and get to know what each tool does and did some Random shapes.
- I added a circle and adjusted the size
- I added another circle and adjusted the size.
- I decided to use Modify -> Rotation Repeat.
- I added a polygon and adjusted the size.
- I added another component from the plus on the right side of the page
- In this page I decided to draw a thin rectangle
- Moved back to the previous page “component A” and attached the rectangle to the Polygon.
- Then Modify -> Boolean Difference.
- Later on I decided to follow one of the tutorials on the Website
- compared to other 2D programs cuttle has many shourt cuts and is very easy to use for beginners.

Vectr Website¶
This website was easy to use as it is direct drag and drop and easy to change the main the colors of the shapes.

I created a computer screen.

I chose a rectangle and changed it color to grey.

I dragged a triangle and changed it color to grey.

I chose another Rectangle and resized to make it smaller than the grey rectangle and changed it color to dark green.

dragged four vectors a house, wifi , the sound shape and the mouse .

Then I chose the last shape and change it color to grey.

and I wrote the word password using the text bar.

on the side I make a sun and a heart and played with color gradian.
- Since its simple It had many constrains and you couldnt make lots of stuff.

3D Design¶
FUSION 360¶
- In the begining i kept in drawing random shapes extruding them and subtracting randomly.
- first I scketched one circle and one rectangule,then I extruded the rectngle.

I copied the random shape rotated and joined it with the other shape.

then I drew another sketch using the point spline
- and extruded the shape.

Later on I decided to to make something from the internet so I followed a light decoration toturial from YOUTUBE.

I think Fusion is a good program for who is a beginner in 3d modeling as it allows creating many thing and its easier to navigate and design in.

however if you attempt to make a detailed 3d design I would not recommend it.

when I first opened the app i didnt know where the designing tools were at so I opned youtube and followed a basics toturial video to understand were the tools exactly at.
I didnt exprement much with this program but I found that its harder to navigate and use than fusion.
