Microfluidic Chip

Microfluidics is considered as the science that studies the behavior and the properties of the fluid that flow through the micro channels. These complex devices are often tailor-made for a specific application, with the intention of fast assessment and a low consumption of both reagents and samples. Ideally, the user does not have to be a specialist and the setup does not require a large amount of external equipment.

  • In this project, I worked with my colleagues on the research which was about the principles and operation of microfluidics. Applications, low-cost materials that can be employed, and low-cost fabrication techniques.

  • Additionally, I worked on the testing design of the microfludic chip with my colleague Hanna by using the Fusion 360 to find the limitaion of the cricut by using ImageJ. And we found out that it’s 0.5 for the channels and 3 mm for the inputs & output holes.

  • Finally, the design that we made was a mixture which has two inputs and an output. we can use this design for example to find the pH of a chemical by mixing it with an indicator.

The final result
